Please note: Tickets purchased at a ticket counter, ticket machine, on the train or for the private purposes of employees are excluded from sales eligible for discount. Tickets are not recorded retrospectively. Fare network tickets and Regional Travelcards, supersaver tickets and Saver Day Passes, group tickets, tickets for special promotions as well as international tickets and tickets only for international journeys are not discounted.

Take advantage of tax benefits that make the financing of public transport mobility attractive for both your company and your employees.

Under certain criteria, you can declare your employees’ financed public transport travelcards as a business-related necessity in consultation with the competent tax authority. The VAT input tax deduction can be applied to these travelcards and tickets. This can help your company save up to 8.1%.

Business-related purchases are not subject to social security contributions either. As a company, this can help you save a further 5.3% in OASI/IV/LEC outlay. If you as an employer finance an employee’s travel costs, they will experience more benefits than tax disadvantages.

Gifts and vouchers to employees of up to CHF 500 are exempt from tax and social security contributions. These do not need to be recorded in the salary statement. The Half Fare Travelcard is always exempt from tax. Vouchers and coupons, like physical vouchers, are subject to the usual tax liability rules.

Encourage travel by public transport and save money. You can support public transport mobility most effectively by purchasing travelcards or vouchers for a specific purpose. You can also use vouchers or coupons to partially finance public transport travelcards for your employees.

Point-to-Point and Regional Travelcards: the ideal companions for the day-to-day.

It doesn’t have to be the GA Travelcard – the Point-to-Point Travelcard for the daily commute or the Regional Travelcard for a particular region are sometimes cheaper alternatives. The wide range of travelcards for commuters will offer a suitable solution for your employees too.
