Climb aboard the panorama train, decorated for the occasion, and take in the passing scenery as you enjoy a celebratory menu. The journey first takes you through the Zurich agglomeration via Wallisellen and Dübendorf into the Zurich Oberland, which is urban to begin with but then becomes hilly and rural.
After changing direction in Rüti ZH, the route continues via Tann-Dürnten, Wald and Gibswil in a semicircle around the Bachtel – a famous and popular excursion mountain at an altitude of 1,115m. Via Fischenthal, you reach the Töss valley and then follow the Töss downstream to Winterthur, from where you return to Zurich via Kemptthal and Effretikon.
