New vouchers and coupons.

The e-vouchers and RailCheck solutions you already know will be replaced by new, standardised coupons and vouchers over the coming months. You can carry on using them as a flexible solution for purchasing tickets and season tickets at sbb.ch/en/business.

Train or car – which is cheaper?

Independent calculations show: in many cases, car journeys are more expensive than train journeys. For example, the TCS calculates a price of around 75 centimes per kilometre for a model passenger car worth CHF 39,000 with an annual mileage of 15,000 kilometres. In comparison, the 2nd class GA Travelcard costs 27 centimes per kilometre for 15,000 kilometres of travel and is thus significantly cheaper than a private car.
