Occasional journeys on public transport are still necessary despite the requirement to work from home. This is no cause for concern if you comply with the public transport protection plan.

We are working round the clock to make sure you feel safe and well looked after on public transport. We have been cleaning our trains more frequently and thoroughly since right back at the beginning of the pandemic. Our team of over 1,000 staff clean and disinfect surfaces and contact areas such as hand rails, buttons, tables, arm rests, as well as the toilets, several times a day.

Across Switzerland, there is a requirement to wear a mask in all public transport vehicles and related buildings. This also applies to stations, including areas such as platforms, underpasses and shops.
